Blog 51: Wednesday, May 1, 2019

Since we are reading the book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, we see that Alice keeps changing throughout the story. It seems like every time she meets someone new, she changes sizes. Discuss a time where someone had an impact on your life that made you change as a person.

  9. One person that changed my life was my mom. She told me that she was proud of me after graduating elementary school. I thought that she never believed me. She told me that she was proud of me. I gain lots of confidence. I try to make my mom proud so she likes me. That's when I changed myself forever.

  13. One thing that changed my life was to realise how lucky i am too live the way I’m living, some kids don’t even have a meal tonight and were complaining over stupid things, it was my dad who made me realise how lucky I am, and I started appreciating my life more.

  14. A thing that change my life is when some people talk about Haiti at St-Tomas. It made me realise that there is some people that don’t eat 3 meals per day and sometime I complain about thing and I should when I think about people living there. They struggle every day and it is probably very pain full for them to live.

  15. A thing that changed my life was when the school and other people that I hear talk about the world and all of the bad things that are happening and it changed me because it made me appreciate what I have and that other people in the world don't have anything. Also, people that have things can help and give to other people that need it more than us.

  16. A couple of years ago my uncle and grandmother died in the same year that's when i realized that it’s only when you lose something that you really appreciate it/them. Another time was when I did a project on my mom and how she grew up and where and it really made me grateful for all of my surroundings and where I live and all of that stuff.

  17. I don’t really have a specific person but I remember that musique really changed how I acted. And before when I was little I used to cause trouble sometimes. It last long because every time i got in trouble it was just the worst feeling in the whole world. And I hated that feeling so much that i just stopped complaining, stopped being mean, just stopped. So now i try all I can not to get in trouble because I don’t like the feeling that i’m letting people down so now they have to resort to yelling at me.I just really didn’t like it so I changed.

Someone who made a big impact on my life with my mom because she, she showed me what life really looks like and once I saw it I really changed because when you’re a kid you see life as a game or a challenge but in real life it’s hard and difficult but my mom showed me how to get through it. Life is hard but will my mom told me is that you can always get through it.

  19. A person that really made a bug impact on my life is my mom she taught me how to deal with life even when it gets hard and you face difficult test to never give up on what you are trying to achieve. One of the biggest challenges I had was coming to St Thomas. It was a challenge because I knew no-one here and I felt like I was lost because all of my friends went to PCHS, but a few months passed and I met a ton of new people who are now my friends.

  20. Someone that made a big impact in my life is my mom because she has showed me how to deal with my problems. She has always been there for me and she has always given me a way to calm down. Like a lot of people I was super nervous for high school and she made me feel less anxious about it.

  22. Someone that made a big impact in my life was my mom because she showed me how to deal with small or big problems that bother me like Anxiety attacks or feeling bad for stuff that I forgot about or caring too much about something and now letting it go. This changed me on how to help myself conquer problems in the future or the present.
