Hurricane Florence, which made landfall in North Carolina on Friday, completely devastated most of the Carolinas and caused widespread flooding. Hurricane Florence has flooded rivers (swells of 60 feet above regular water levels), roads, and houses.
Many residents had to abandon their homes and everything inside them.
If your house was flooded, and you could only take one item with you, what would that item be?

ReplyDeleteIf I had one object to bring with me it would be my play station 4. because I COULD PLAY with it when Im at the place I'm staying at because my house is flooded.With my ps4 I could talk with my friends or play with my friends and ask them how there doing so its like a phone but you can play games on it and watch youtube on it. I would bring it because it has my favorite game on it and its really easy to communicate with

Deleteif i had to survived with one thing in a hurricane i would bring a case of water because you need water to survive in this world and because id probably get thirsty what sucks is that it pretty heavy so me carried in a hurricane really sucks!!!!!!!!!! but at lest ill get a better chance of surviving.

DeleteIf I could only bring one item I would probably bring my wallet because it has all my money so if ever I needed to buy something I’d have my money. Also i would try and find a way to sneak my phone with me I mean god gave me two hands for a reason might as well use them.

If I were to bring one item with me I would probably bring my phone because I don't necessarily need Internet for my phone. I can call, text and play games.I would also try and sneak my charger just encase my battery starts to get low.
ReplyDeleteThe one thing i would i bring would be a floatie so that my sister can sit on it because she doesnt know how to swim and shes scared of water.that's why i chose that.there are other stuff that i would choose instead just a floatie i would bring a waterproof so i can put stuff in it so the stuff wouldnt get wet

What would I not take with me?If I had to choose one item to take with me it would be my Phone,[basic teen] because it is expensive and i have a lot of photos and memories on it.Like when I travel,go to friends house and so much more!

DeleteIf my house was flooded I would be very sad, I have a lot of valuable things in there. Now I can only able to bring one item with me, What would the item be? The item I would bring is a radio. The reason why I chose a radio is because I need information on the hurricane madness going on or about where I can get chellter for myself. With the radio I can also be able to listen to my favorite music. When I get the information I can get the help I need.
ReplyDeleteIf I could only take 1 thing it would be my dog Maggie because she’s not the best swimmer in the world, but she means a lot to me. Maggie is sweet, loyal and super cuddly even though she’s not very bright example she barks at plastic bags and baby strollers. I wouldn’t want to imagine her drowning. That would be horrendous.

DeleteWell, if my house was being flooded and my family and I needed to get as far away from the storm I would probably not think to take anything but if I did take something I would most likely take my teddy bear. I know it doesn't seem important but it is because, clothes, books, phone’s ect, that could all be replaced. I would take my teddy bear with me because it’s irreplaceable. Wair I used to live, there lived an old lady in the house just one house away. When I was very young, I was 6 weeks old, and one day the sweet old lady gave my teddy bear. I have no idea about any of the details about the teddy bear but i’ve had him ever since. And sadly that old women past away a while ago so it’s not like I can ask for another one, and you can’t go and get it at a store. Trust me i’ve looked, just in case of emergencies and I'd have to get a new one. But it’s one of a kind because it been with me for...a long time!

DeleteIf my house flooded and I could only bring one thing well then I would take my hamster because she is in a cage and cant get out but either way I would bring her because she really means a lot to me and I care about her a lot and wouldn't want her to die in flood. I would bring my dog but she could get out by herself even though she isn't a good swimmer.

DeleteIf my home was flooded I would take my soccer ball. I chose that idome because the soccer ball that I have is not just a ball it’s a smart ball. This ball can see at what speed your ball is at and if you don’t have a net it says if you would have scored or not. But you can only see all of that information on an app called Adidas smart ball. I would bring that ball with me because i could sell it for a lot of money and us that cash for what I need
ReplyDeleteIf that ever happens to me, i would choose to bring phone, cause you got everything thing on that, google maps , pay pal, games every thing to keep you on track in life , if you needed to go somewhere you just bring your phone for google maps and pay it with pay pal, that’s what I would bring, I just find that smart, and then you could just make extra money on the streets with talent or something like a job..
ReplyDeleteIf my house was flooded I would obviously take my pets, but since I can’t choose between my pets I would probably choose a suitcase so that I can pack a bunch of things inside the suitcase. For example I would pack extra clothes, food and anything else I might need to pack, and anything else I can fit into the suitcase.
ReplyDeleteI would bring my laptop to play video games and watch netflix. I would not want a $1000 laptop to get destroyed. This laptop has so many memories of games that cost money so it would be about 1.3 thousand dollars and not including the hard drives I have on it. I think that this is one of my most prized possessions.

DeleteIf my house was flooded I wold probably take my phone and a charger. I don’t really have noting hells of very valuable to me so I would take my phone. With this I could see the information on the flood, pass the time go on a map so I can’t get lost or call someone for help like the police to help me if I have something wrong.

The reason for this is because that’s my life cause almost everyday I go on my PlayStation and just spend hours playing every game I own and to me its mandatory in my life and if I lost it I don't know what I would do

ReplyDeleteIf my house was flooded, the one item i would bring is my teddy bear, his name is cicco and he means the world to me because my dad gave it to me when i was a little girl ,and i never let go of him. My dad died when i was 6 years old and that is why i never let go of him. I broth him everywhere like ( Italy, New York, floryda, new jersey, Quebec city etc…..) and that is why i love my teddy bear so much like i said he means the world to me just like my family but mr.katz said not to pike a family member but my teddy bear is just like me family and i love him so much. But he got “hurt” many times like ones he head and leg. done !!!!!!
The one thing that I would bring with me would probably be my phone. The reason why I would bring my phone is because first all of my friends are on my phone and because in case of an emergency I can call 911. I would also carry my charger with me because when my phone dies I can charge it. It could also come in good handy as a flashlight.
