Last Friday's shooting in two New Zealand mosques left 50 people dead and 50 others injured.
New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern promised to change gun laws.

They can prevent gun shootings by having bulletproof windows and also having better security. I do believe that changing gun laws will prevent mass shootings or any shootings because if they don't alow people to buy guns or have guns in their country there won't be any shootings and there won't be any problems. Also for the people who sell guns I think they should have a tracker on them so that if something happens you know where the gun is.

DeleteI THINK some guns should be only allowed for a specific reason like security or army because every year people die from these shootings and it's always more then 10 people killed and they never do anything about it.

DeleteHow we could prevent gun shootings like the one in New Zealand is by insist on mandatory training and licensing for owners and to require safe and secure gun storage, I think this will help a bit but not alot because there are many more ways to buy a gun then at the Gun Store.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion the way to reduce the gun shootings are by simply not allowing anyone but the police and army have guns. I really don’t see the reason of why civilians have the right to own a gun. The only reason why they would need a gun would be to commit a crime. Gun stores should also be illegal and should be forced to shut down.

The only people that should have a gun is either the army and police officers. I think changing gun laws will prevent gun laws. I think people other than police and the army, should not have a gun license.

DeleteI think to prevent mass shootings or any types of shootings we should make stricter laws for guns. To get a gun license people should check their history, if they have any bad opinions against races, if they have any mental issues or even ask any of their relative to explain why they need one or if they should. I kinda think so but the people who want to kill other races well nothing will change their mind. It’s in there head that they don't like certain people and I don't think they really care if they go to jail. I think that’s what they think.
ReplyDeleteI don't think we can ever prevent mass shootings, because even if we make it extremely hard to get a gun people will still find ways to do stuff like this. I think if people talk about killing others or hurting anyone else they should be on a list where they are questioned about if their actually gonna do anything this won't stop much but it will scare the mass shooters a little bit.

ReplyDeleteI don’t think we can prevent mass shooting because people will always find a way to get a gun. If they would change the guns laws they would have to make sure that the person doesn’t have any mental issues and that they are not racist. Or they could just stop selling guns and make sure that the only people with guns is the police or the army.

DeleteUnfortunately, I don’t think we can prevent mass shootings, even upgrading the gun laws won’t help because New Zealand is very strict on guns but people still bring guns and shoot people like they own the place. But they can just not sell guns and whoever has guns that should have they will deal with them, the only people that should have guns are the military and police that’s it.

DeleteI think changing gun laws will really slow down shootings because the people that will do the shootings will have to go throught the black market and that will take a lot of time and information. But what would be better is if their are not alound to be any guns. And only sertine people should be abole to weald a gun.
ReplyDeleteI think they should start by not letting the public to have guns and only the army should be allowed to have guns.they should also make the security better in places so gun shootings don't happen.they should put security guards everywhere so people can’t also walk in mosques, churches and etc… with knives.they should have metal detectors before you enter so if you enter and they detect a gun they will stop you before you shoot.
ReplyDeleteThey can prevent gun shootings by just making guns illegal and only give them to cops and the army, and they should have cops around more areas. yes I do believe that changing gun laws will reduce mass shootings but not prevent because people will still use guns illegally if they will do something as bad as a mass shooting.

DeleteI think they should definitely make guns illegal and only Police and Military should have access to guns. I definitely think a change in gun laws will reduce mass shootings. I think to prevent mass shootings like this we could have people go through a mental health test and see if they are mentally stable enough to own a gun, or we should just let the police and military have guns.

DeleteThe mass shooting that occurred was a devastating incident, that should be prevented in the future. A solution that could help stop shooting is just fully illegalize guns for everyone. Guns are not even something people should be proud to own. America needs stricter rules for guns, because anyone can by one. if we illegelize guns, we could prevent deaths.
ReplyDeleteThe shooting that occurred was a devastating massacre that will probably go down to be one of the most catastrophic shootings. People say that we should take the guns away from all public use, with the exception of police and army officers with certified certificates for there certain jobs. On the opposite hand, in my opinion the guns arn't the problem, its the people. There should be a background check on each person who is attempting to receive a permit/licence to purchase or carry a firearm.

I dont think changing the gun laws would help that much because the people could still buy guns off of the black market or some other illegal way.
